Media Release: The Washington County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating an armed robbery.

On March 5, 2018 at approximately 8:20 PM, Deputies responded to the Windy Hill Restaurant, 13120 Clear Spring Road, Clear Spring, MD, for a reported armed robbery.

The initial investigation revealed the suspect entered the restaurant, displayed a handgun and demanded cash. After receiving an undisclosed amount of money the suspect fled the area in a dark colored vehicle.

The suspect was described as a male, wearing dark clothing and a dark piece of cloth covering his face and nose.

No injuries were reported as a result of this incident.
