Media Release:

On April 24, 2019 at approximately 5:16 pm, Deputies responded to the area of 16926 Virginia Avenue for the report of found human remains.

In a wooded area, northeast of the Interstate 70 overpass, two witnesses located human remains. Upon deputies’ arrival, the witnesses pointed out the obvious skeletal human remains.

Thru the initial investigation, there were no signs of violence or foul play.

The remains have been transported to the Medical Examiner’s Office in Baltimore.

The Sheriff’s Office currently does not have a positive identification of the deceased at this time.

The investigation into this incident is on-going.
