On March 8, 2023, at approximately 10 am, Deputies responded to the area of 24 Summit Avenue, Hagerstown, MD, for a motor vehicle collision.

A Chevrolet truck, traveling northbound on Summit Avenue struck a parked Washington County Sheriff’s Office Patrol vehicle, which pushed the parked Patrol vehicle into two other parked vehicles. All of the struck vehicles were unoccupied at the time of the incident. The Patrol vehicle suffered significant damage.

The driver of the truck was identified as Christian Edward Cooker, 38, of Hedgesville, WV.

A search revealed Cooker was in possession of approximately 270 suspected CDS pills.

Cooker has been charged with DUI and CDS – Possession/Use, CDS – Sale/Manufacturing related offenses.

Cooker was transported to Central Booking for processing and is currently being held without bond at the Washington County Detention Center.
