On December 15, 2020, at approximately 7:48 AM, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 700 block of North Main Street, Boonsboro, MD, for a pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle.
After a thorough investigation, deputies determined that a male and female, who were riding in a Honda Accord together, began to argue. The Honda pulled onto the shoulder of the northbound lane of the 700 block of N. Main Street, Boonsboro, MD. The male exited the vehicle and began to walk away, while he and the female continued to argue. The female struck the male with the Honda and then pulled into the parking lot of the AC&T.
The male was transported to Meritus Medical Center for the treatment of his injuries, which are believed to be non-life-threatening.
The female, identified as Sara Alexandra Stelma, 33, of Boonsboro, was arrested and transported to Central Booking for processing. Stelma is charged with one count of 1st Degree Assault and one count of 2nd Degree Assault.
Stelma is currently being held at the Washington County Detention without bond.
