On January 30, 2018 at approximately 1:00 PM, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to Pope Tire, 11000 Bower Avenue, in reference to an armed male.
It was reported that a recently terminated employee, identified as Albert Earl Bean 3rd, was sitting in his vehicle outside of the business, with a handgun. After Bean loaded the firearm, he placed it next to him and patted it with his hand. Bean made the statement that, “I’m crazy but I ain’t stupid, and this is going to stay right here” and, “I ain’t got nothing but time.”
The witnesses quickly went back into the business and secured the doors.
