The Washington County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a Williamsport High School student for making threats of mass violence against the school.
On October 18, 2017 at approximately 3:35 PM the School Resource Officer was contacted by school administrators in reference to a threat made against the school. Deputies made contact with the suspect student at their residence prior to the start of the school day on October 19, 2017.
The suspect, who is a juvenile, was placed under arrest and transported to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office for processing.
At the order of the Department of Juvenile Services the suspect was released to the custody of their parent.
