One-Day Entry-Level and Lateral Patrol Deputy Hiring Event

The Sheriff’s Office will conduct a One-Day Entry Level Patrol Deputy Sheriff Hiring Event on Saturday, March 25, 2023, at 8:00 A.M. Applicants are to arrive at 7:30 A.M. for pre-registration. Physical Fitness/Handgun Familiarization Testing will begin promptly at 8:00 A.M. No late entries will be permitted.

The Physical Fitness/Handgun Familiarization Testing will be conducted at HCC, Hagerstown Community College in the Athletic, Recreation, and Community Center (ARCC) at 11400 Robinwood Drive, Hagerstown, MD. 21742.

Applicants who pass the PFT will continue with the Written Test. Applicants who pass the PFT and Written Test will continue to the Oral Board Interview beginning at 1:00 P.M.

Written tests and oral interviews will be conducted at the Washington County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Division, 500 Western Maryland Parkway, Hagerstown, MD. 21740.

The Release of Liability and Physician’s Certification MUST be completed and submitted on the testing date, March 25, 2023. The Physician’s Certification must be completed within 30 days of the Physical Fitness Test date to be considered valid. A valid government-issued photo identification is required at the time of testing.
