SCAM ALERT!

Please be aware of a paving scam reported to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office. On June 12, 2017, a white male who identified himself as Dave, approached the victim at their residence and advised he could smooth out the paving at the bottom of the victims driveway and preform other handy work around the residence. The victim paid the male $2,000. The male left the residence, saying he was going to return with the equipment to complete the agreed upon work and the male never returned.

We are reminding citizens to be weary of unsolicited inquiries for work. Please check into services providers before entering into agreements and making payments.
