MEDIA RELEASE:

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office is currently conducting a death investigation.

On September 4, 2017 at approximately 4:00 PM, the Sheriff’s Office responded to Cushwa Basin, 205 W. Potomac Street, Williamsport in reference to a deceased person.

Two kayakers had discovered the deceased person as they wear entering the mouth of the Conococheague Creek from the Potomac River.

The deceased has been identified as Charles Bradshaw IV, 37, of Hagerstown.

The deceased has been transported to the Office of the Medical Examiner in Baltimore for autopsy.

At this point, foul play is not suspected.
