Sheriff’s Office Investigates Fatal Pedestrian Collision

December 11, 2023

MEDIA RELEASE:

 

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a fatal motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian.

 

On December 10, 2023, at approximately 10:00 PM, Deputies responded to the 1300 block of Dual Highway Hagerstown, MD, for a motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian.

 

The pedestrian was transported to Meritus Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

 

It has been determined that a 2014 Toyota Corolla was traveling Westbound on Dual Highway when it collided with a pedestrian crossing the roadway.

 

The roadway was closed from 10:00 PM until approximately midnight.

 

The pedestrian has been identified as Allen M. Moxley, 57, of Hagerstown, MD.

 

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office Crash Reconstruction Team continues to investigate this incident.

Homicide Suspect Located

 

Media Release:

On October 26, 2023, at approximately 11:00 AM, during an expanded evidentiary search in the Williamsport, MD area, a deceased person was located.

The deceased individual has been positively identified as Pedro Argote, the suspect wanted for the murder of Maryland Circuit Court Judge Andrew Wilkinson.

The deceased was located in a heavily wooded area between Clear Spring Road and Bottom Road approximately 1 mile North West of where the suspect vehicle was found.

A press conference has been scheduled for 3 PM and will be held at the Washington County Administration Building, 100 West Washington Street, Hagerstown, MD.

Olde Waterford Road Homicide Investigation

There is a significant police presence in the Williamsport, MD area.
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office asks the public to be vigilant as the search continues for homicide suspect Pedro Argote.
The silver Mercedes that Argote was last known to be operating has been located.
Anyone with information on Argote’s location should immediately notify law enforcement.
Argote is 5’7″, 130 lbs with black hair and brown eyes.
A media staging area will be established in Byron Park, Williamsport, MD, at 1:30 PM. There will be a press conference at 4:30 PM

Media Release: UPDATED INFORMATION: HOMICIDE INVESTIGATION
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office is searching for the below-listed individual in connection to the Olde Waterford Road homicide investigation.
Anyone with information on the location of Pedro Argote, 49, is asked to notify law enforcement immediately. Argote is 5’7”, 130 lbs. with black hair and brown eyes. He may be operating a silver 2009 Mercedes GL450, displaying Maryland registration plates 4EH0408.
Anyone with information in reference to Argote’s location is asked to not approach him but to immediately notify law enforcement.
This continues to be an active investigation, certain details of the case will not be released to the public by law enforcement.

The victim, an adult male, was located in the driveway of a residence. The victim was suffering from what appeared to be gunshot wounds. He was transported to Meritus Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The victim was identified as Washington County, Maryland Circuit Court Judge Andrew Wilkinson, 52, of Hagerstown.
This continues to be an active investigation; due to the ongoing investigation, certain details will not be released.

The victim, an adult male, was located in the driveway of a residence. The victim was suffering from what appeared to be gunshot wounds. He was transported to Meritus Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

The victim was identified as Washington County, Maryland Circuit Court Judge Andrew Wilkinson, 52, of Hagerstown.
